چکیده

Background: Chickpea is the largest produced food legume in south Asia and third globally, after common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) field pea (Pisum sativum Chick widely appreciated as health food. It a protein-rich supplement to cereal-based diets, especially poor developing countries.
Objectives: Effects of nitrogen zinc levels on growth yield pea.
Methods: A study was conducted determine effect chickpea (Cicer arietinum var Pusa-362 under Randomized Block Design with 9 treatments each replicated thrice. The results reported that application 30 kg/ha Nitrogen+15 Zinc (treatment -9) recorded significantly higher plant height (58.40 cm), maximum number nodules/plant (21.70), dry weight (24.0 g/plant), Maximum pods/plant (71.10), seeds/pod (1.80), seed (3.21 t/ha) stover (4.31 were Zinc.
Conclusion: Based above findings investigation it may be concluded treatment Nitrogen 15 all parameters obtaining grain These are based single season, therefore additional testing necessary for further validation.

Nutritional Composition of Iranian Desi and Kabuli Chickpea (Cicer Arietinum L.) Cultivars in Autumn Sowing

The grain quality of chickpea in Iran is low and instable, which may be attributed to the evolution of cultivars with a narrow genetic base making them vulnerable to biotic stresses. Four chickpea varieties from diverse geographic origins were chosen and arranged in a randomized complete block design. Mesorhizobium sp. cicer strain SW7 was added to all the chickpea seeds. Chickpea seeds were pl...

GENETIC DIVERGENCE IN CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.)

Genetic diversity of 27 chickpea genotypes was studied through Mahalanobis D and Principal Component analysis. The genotypes under study fall into five clusters. The cluster II contained the highest number of genotypes (11) and Cluster I contained the lowest. Cluster I produced the highest mean value for number of pods per plant. The inter cluster distances were much higher than the intra clust...

An advanced draft genome assembly of a desi type chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is an important pulse legume crop. We previously reported a draft genome assembly of the desi chickpea cultivar ICC 4958. Here we report an advanced version of the ICC 4958 genome assembly (version 2.0) generated using additional sequence data and an improved genetic map. This resulted in 2.7-fold increase in the length of the pseudomolecules and substantial reduct...
